Blue Bird Film are:

Katrin Ottarsdóttir, born 1957 in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands.

Graduated as a film director from The National Danish Filmschool 1982.

Beside her film work Ottarsdóttir has published 2 poetry collections (2012 and 2015) and 2 collections of short stories (2016 and 2018). Her first poetry collection "Eru koparrør í himmiríki" (Are Ther Copper Pipes In Heaven) was awarded the Faroese Literary Prize. The 'Copper Pipes' and the two short stories collections have been published in Danish, and in 2019 the 'Copper Pipes' will be published in the USA.     Hugin Eide, born 1963 in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands.

    Eide has no formal film education, but since he married Katrin in 1987 he has worked on almost all her films as a producer, fund-raiser, co-writer, production assistant, runner, script-girl, actor and jack of all trades.

    Since 2008 he has run a one-man publishing company in Denmark publishing mainly Danish translations of Faroese and Icelandic literature. Website: torgard.dk
